26 parties participating in the Dutch elections

2023-10-19

@Hagen Schlotzhauer
is the founder of Insight Democracy. Following an education in Dutch law, he has has been a political analyst for years.

The last chance to register candidate lists was on 9 October and 26 of the 70 political parties have submitted valid lists and signatures of support. However, six of these parties could or would not participate in all 20 electoral districts. The election council (Kiesraad) is currently processing decisions and appeals to those decisions. In the week of 23 October, the final lists will be made public and idem. will make these accessible on the idem.Stakeholder tool. This will include up to 1126 candidates, almost 30% less than 2021.

Additionally, idem. is proud to announce a dynamic poll, that will be added to the idem. toolbox. This will allow you to identify candidates that will be part of the upcoming parliamentary make-up. Additionally, these new data streams will enhance existing tools, adding likelihood of election to stakeholder pages.
